Lesley Fargnoli
Lesley Fargnoli is originally from Providence, RI where she currently resides. Growing up as a competition dancer Lesley continued her studies at Rhode Island College on the Helen Forman Talent Scholarship. Through her years of performing, she worked numerous contracts onboard Holland America Line’s cruise ships as a featured dancer and soloist with StepONE Dance Company. She has also worked on film as a principal dancer in the Disney + movie Hocus Pocus 2. Lesley has performed live with various companies including RI Women’s Choreographer’s Benefit, Providence Ballet Theatre, Konnectivity Dance Company, and The Boston She Party. When she is not performing, Lesley is educating and choreographing around New England. Certified by the Dance Teachers Club of Boston, Lesley is a dance instructor with a decade of industry experience.
Lorie Holtey-Ramirez
Lorie Holtey-Ramirez is originally from Yakima, Washington where she owned a successful studio for 16 years. Not only herself, but her students have won numerous awards and scholarships, with many going off to dance thru college and in the professional scene. Dancing since the age of 6 she is trained in all areas of dance such as Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Baton, and gymnastics – she is a diverse and well-rounded dancer and teacher with 30+yrs of experience. Lorie has traveled all over the country, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Costa Rica, London, and South Africa working for dance competitions and conventions. She teaches, choreographs, and shares her love, passion and knowledge for dance. She toured with Hoctor’s Dance Caravan for 6yrs, working with, assisting, and performing with some of the greats in the dance world! She has been with Starpower National Talent and the SDA since 1998, tabulating, judging, and teaching. One of her favorite jobs was working for All American Cheer and Dance with the Pro Bowl Pre game and Halftime shows in Hawaii for 17 years as part of the production team, assistants, featured dancer and coordinator. She has choreographed, coached, and worked with several high school cheer squads, dance teams, and Color guards. Lorie has also done judging and choreography for opening numbers and individual routines for pageants. A few fun moments were being a featured dancer with such artists like Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, Sugar Ray, Lifehouse, Goo Goo Dolls, Enrique Iglesias, Cierra, & Jennifer Love Hewitt, just to name a few.
Kathryn McCarty
Kathryn McCarty began her dance education over thirty five years ago in her hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. She has trained and performed with companies such as Boston Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, The Russian Ballet Theatre of Delaware and Ballet West. Kathryn attended the University of Utah as a ballet major before relocating to Southern California to tour both nationally & internationally with The Young Americans. Some of Kathryn’s professional credits include “One Man’s Dream II” (Tokyo Disneyland), Dance Captain & Mainstage dancer on board The Disney Magic (Disney Cruise Lines) as well as numerous regional theater productions across the country. Several of her favorite credits include: “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas”, Crazy For You” and “Pippin”. The past 15 years, Kathryn has directed and taught at several studios in central Nebraska as well as Ohio. She founded & was the Artistic Director of Central Nebraska Youth Ballet and is currently on faculty at Dayton Ballet School and Z Company Arts. Several of her students have gone on to train and dance professionally in ballet companies as well as earning national awards & honors across the country.
Diversity in dance styles and education has allowed Kathryn to not only limit herself to ballet but she also continues to train dancers in various styles. Kathryn has choreographed dance teams at the high school & collegiate level, as well as high school musicals and show choirs. She has worked for the Star Dance Alliance for over a decade both as a judge and on faculty for Wild Dance Intensive & The World Dance Pageant. Kathryn loves to travel and share her knowledge & passion of dance with this generation’s young artists whenever she gets the chance!
McLain Powell
McLain Powell is a New York based performer, teacher, and choreographer. Some of her performing credits include: OFF BROADWAY: Rocking Horse…, Marie Antoinette, Theatre Row. OFF-OFF BROADWAY: Malcontent, Studio 54. INTERNATIONAL TOURS: Rocking Horse…, Myself, International Theatre Festival Sibiu, The National Bulgaria NEW YORK: Bonnie and Clyde (Emma) REGIONAL: A Chorus Line, Annie, Guys and Dolls, Legally Blonde, Pippin, Nice Work… .McLain is a recent graduate of Pace University Performing Arts. When not performing McLain travels around the world teaching and choreographing as well as mentoring young dancers. She has choreographed for numerous dance studios across the country, summer camps, music revues, and musicals. She furthers her dance education at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway, where she assists different NYC based teachers and choreographers.

Jamie Rose Stoddard-Hodge
Jamie Rose Stoddard is a trained dancer and choreographer who has devoted her life to creating pieces of art through movement. She specializes in contemporary, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, ballet, hip-hop, musical theatre and pointe but has also trained in acrobatics as well. Jamie has won many choreography awards at Regional competitions across the east coast and is the 11 & Under Choreographer of the year in 2016. Jamie realized her passion for dance at a really young age while training in Buffalo, NY. She furthered her education in dance at The University of Buffalo and Columbia College Chicago where she had the chance to partake in master classes and workshops under the direction of Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Fosse, Nico Rubio, Gus Giardano, and many others. While studying in Chicago she was a member of the professional company known as Framework where she had intensive training and many opportunities to perform at shows and festivals throughout Chicago. While living in Chicago Jamie also signed on with Lily’s Talent Agency and has been represented by them ever since. After living in Chicago Jamie returned back to Buffalo, NY where she found her love for teaching. While teaching at many studios throughout Buffalo, including her home studio, she had the opportunity to become an apprentice with Lehrer Dance Company, a Buffalo based company conducted by John Lehrer. Jamie is now a Stott Pilates Instructor working with dancers and non dancers of all ages, while continuing to pursue her love for teaching dance. She travels the nation teaching workshops and choreography to multiple studios, and also teaches dance in the Dayton, OH area where she currently resides.
Lisa White
Lisa White is excited to be judging for Starpower and the SDA. Lisa received her training in Chicago with Gus Giordano and has taught for Lou Conte, home of Hubbard Street Dance Company, River North Dance Studio and Studio 34 in Las Vegas. Lisa has performed as a Rockette with the Radio City Rockettes in “The Great Radio City Spectacular” at the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas and “The Radio City Christmas Spectacular” in Branson, MO. She has performed in numerous musicals which include “Sophisticated Ladies”, “Guys and Dolls”, “West Side Story”, “Sweet Charity”, “Funny Girl” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”. Some of her favorite roles include the Tango dancer in “Evita” and Cyd Charisse in “Singin’ in the Rain”. Lisa toured nationally and Internationally with “The Magic of Davis Copperfield ” making television appearances on his CBS specials, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show and The Arsenio Hall Show. She has appeared in the motion pictures “Red Heat ” with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Belushi and “The Babe” with John Goodman. Lisa has appeared in national commercials for McDonalds, Kraft, and Las Vegas hotels Luxor, Caesar’s Palace and Treasure Island. Encouraging young dancers to pursue their dreams has been a privilege and watching the evolution of dance has been so inspiring. Lisa currently resides in Las Vegas teaching master classes and choreographs in the trade show industry.
